New conditions for the shipment of containers (cargo) by rail from 18.01.2018

From 8:00 January 18, 2018 SC “CTO” puts into force the new conditions for the shipment of containers (cargo) by rail transport

1) Two separate parallel queues for the shipment of import and empty containers are implemented. According to these queues the terminal performs the shipment of containers by its decision in accordance with technological capabilities and taking into account the daily supply of railway platforms (own, general, leased fleet, etc.) to the terminal.

2) The shipment orders for the empty containers approved by a liner agent shall be accepted from the forwarder only if the following mandatory conditions are fulfilled:

- the shipment order must contain the destination station and the number of the Railway acceptance request (Mesplan) as well as the rolling stock’s ownership must be specified in the column "Special notes";

- upon actual availability of the quantity of the line’s empty containers (types specified in the shipment order) mentioned in the shipment order at the terminal at the time of the order submission.

3) In case of failure to confirm the shipment or forwarder's refusal from loading empty containers according to the shipment order received by the terminal at the time when it is actually their turn, this shipment order is excluded from the queue. If the number of the line’s empty containers at the terminal is not sufficient (types specified in the order), the shipment order can be performed partially as agreed upon with the forwarder and taking into account the number of respective empty containers actually available at the terminal. In this case, the shipment order is considered as executed and is excluded from the queue. If necessary, the forwarder issues a new order for the remaining number of unloaded containers in regular turn.

4) No change of the respective shipment orders within the published queues is allowed, including the change of information about the consignee and the destination station specified in the shipment order.

hese new conditions for the shipment of containers (cargo) by rail at the terminal of SC "CTO" shall be applied to all shipment orders received before and unfulfilled by the terminal, except for the provisions of clause 2.
